My Microwave conked off exactly one month after the extended warranty of 5 years. I really wonder how they include that level of perfection in electronics that it does not stay longer. It just completes the standard extended warranty periods(just like perishable eatables).
I wanted to look for a microwave which would fit in my requirements in term of size, stainless steel, brand, budget, power and thought of visiting the major stores. As always, waited for a weekend and then started with Lowes, Rona, Home Depot, Best Buy, Sears and they had different microwaves but not matching my requirements. Something or the other was compromising. I was frustrated where to go and then thought of looking online. Interestingly I found a good option in Best Buy online which said ‘Not available in stores’. The standard delivery was 3 days with no shipping cost for the price of microwave. 24 hrs shipping was at a premium of about $25. I though of waiting extra 2 days and choose standard shipping to save few bucks. To my surprise the microwave was delivered the next day itself (less than 24 hrs) at my door step. Wow ! I love online shopping. It is a luxury at a discounted price !
I avoided traffic, saved time, gas, energy and there was no need to carry the stuff from store, fit into car and bring home. It is delivered at doorstep. Isn’t it a blessing ?
